Wedding season is upon us yet again and we are anxiously waiting for that "you've been tagged!" notification. There's nothing we love more than seeing a Grace + Ivory bride tie the knot in their beautiful made-to-measure gown. Each bride truly makes their wedding gown their own. Through customizing their wedding gown, their added accessories, and hair/makeup selections...there is so much Grace + Ivory bride wedding dress inspiration to look forward to this summer!
We're looking back at some of our recent favorites to share how each Grace + Ivory bride rocked their gown on their wedding day. Hopefully you'll see a gown you've been eyeing in action, get inspired by a customization, or have a new style make your must-try list.
A Custom Combination With Ally
Janet Blas Photography
Our beach bride, Ally, found plenty to love in our classic Tabitha dress. The deep V neckline, the luxe crepe fabric, and delicate dart details, were a few stand-out features. Only, the dress silhouette (a fitted sheath style) was not what she had in mind for her sandy vows. We combined the full A-line skirt and tie-bow back details of our Alina dress to create Ally's one-of-a-kind wedding gown.
We love being able to give a Grace + Ivory bride the ability to change a thing, or two, about our current collection. Although we love each style as is, we understand that it all comes down to personal preference and style. It's important to be able to have exactly what you want in design for your wedding day... no compromises!
From Fitted To A-Line With Grace + Ivory Bride Brittany
Similar to Ally, Chicago bride Brittany found the details she loved in the wrong silhouette. While she enjoyed exploring other fit styles, she knew ultimately an A-line dress was what she wanted for her Vegas nuptials. But the art-deco lace details and beaded accents on our the Kali dress (pictured left) were spot-on for her vision.
We re-designed the Kali dress by adding a visible waist seam at the natural waist and creating a full A-line skirt. Given the added lace and materials, Brittany decided to forego the train and keep the skirt light, for a no-bustle needed wedding day look. Let Brittany's look be your wedding dress inspiration if you are having trouble picturing the dress you love in another silhouette.
A Trip To Prague With Courtney
Sometimes a dress needs no adjustments and you love it exactly as designed; as was the case with Grace + Ivory bride Courtney. With European travel plans on her mind, Courtney said yes to our Sienna dress in our Chicago showroom. She loved the sleek silk-satin skirt paired with a lace applique illusion top. She also loved the faux open back that made for some incredible wedding photos, and stayed in place no matter where she went.
Destination brides take note: you want a dress that travels light (like the Sienna dress) and won't weigh you down while exploring the new terrain. An easy chapel train (and a dotting groom!) was all Courtney needed to get stunning photos such as these!
Adding A Statement Accessory With Grace
Mark Trela Photography
After falling in love with old Hollywood inspired dress, our Elise gown, bride Grace made one tweak. Wanted to be dripping in pearls on her wedding day, Grace swapped Elise's silver hand-beaded details on the waist, shoulders, and back...for all pearl details! Adding a statement tulle pearl cape to emphasize her style, this Chicago bride's look was straight out of a movie.
Grace and her wife, Alex, tied the knot at Chicago's The Library at 190 South LaSalle this past Fall. Grace's bridal styling is a perfect example of how you can keep your dress classic and simple...while adding a standout accessory for a more editorial look!
A Mini Moment With Lyss
California bride, Lyss, knew she needed a stand-out party dress for her Puerto Rico Wedding. After gathering some inspiration online, she visited our Chicago showroom to feel fabrics, get measured, and finalize a custom sketch. She wanted something that stayed true to her personal style while feeling different than her ceremony gown (a high-neck silk-satin number).
For her custom crepe bridal mini, we kept it clean (but structured with boning and built-in cups) in the front and left the party all to the back. With a strappy open back and black bow details, Lyss danced the night away in her custom reception dress. Lyss's dress will be available (Our Cait Dress!) online later this year and is available in our showroom now.
A Mountain "I do!" With Mikayla
Kylie Farmer Photography
Another bride that fell in love with a Grace + Ivory gown exactly as she is, is Montana bride Mikayla! Mikayla said yes to our Cassandra dress for her Montana wedding from the comfort of her living room. With our established try-at-home program, Mikayla was able to try on her favorite wedding gowns without having to step foot into a bridal shop.
We can not get over these stunning lakeside bridal shots. From the wildflower bouquet, to the wispy updo, and the clean crepe train...adventure brides take note! Cassandra is a light crepe design that is ideal for outdoor ceremonies or hot summer months.
