Bridal Beauty Q&A with Simona V
What is trending in bridal beauty right now?
Simona Vuleta: I’m seeing more brides gravitate toward radiant, skin-like finishes and makeup that feels polished but effortless. Softly defined eyes, glowing skin, and timeless glam continue to be incredibly popular. I love looks that feel elevated while still looking like the bride. The goal is always to create something that photographs beautifully but never feels overdone.
What bridal beauty trend are you ready to see go?
SV: I’m not a fan of makeup trends that completely transform someone’s appearance. Wedding photos are forever, so I always encourage brides to choose timeless makeup over anything overly trendy. Your wedding day is not the time to experiment with a look that doesn’t feel like you.
What factors should a bride consider when choosing a direction for her wedding glam?
SV: Personal style should always come first. I encourage brides to think about how they typically wear makeup, along with their dress, venue, and overall wedding aesthetic. Most importantly, your makeup should make you feel confident and comfortable. The best bridal makeup is an elevated version of yourself.
What are your top tips for bridal skin prep?
SV: Consistency is key. I always tell my brides to start taking care of their skin months before the wedding, rather than trying a lot of new products right before the big day. Prioritize hydration, sleep, and a consistent skincare routine. If you receive facials, make them part of your routine and avoid any new or aggressive treatments close to the wedding. On the wedding day, arrive with clean, well-moisturized skin and let your artist take it from there.

What are the top five bridal beauty products you always keep in your kit?
SV: My bridal kit staples include Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for its beautiful, skin-like finish and flawless wear; One/Size On ’Til Dawn Setting Spray to ensure makeup lasts through tears, heat, and hours of celebrating; Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette for adding the perfect soft, luminous glow to the skin; YSL Make Me Blush Powder Blush for a fresh, natural flush; and Ardell lashes, which are lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for enhancing the eyes while still looking soft and bridal.
